It's possible to create a custom role within NowSignage which will force a user to always tag any new screens, playlists or uploaded content.

To do this there are two options:

1. Duplicate an existing role

Click on your name in the top right of the platform and press 'my account', then go into the 'roles' area located on the left sidebar. Now you will see a list of roles, if you want to duplicate one and then edit the role to force tags, click 'view' into the role you wish to duplicate:

Now click duplicate and this will create a copy of that role when you go back to the main roles area. If you now click on the view button (eye icon) you can now edit this new role and set 'obligations' on the right where you can tick which area of the platform you wish to force the user to apply tags to:

Once you are happy with the custom role, scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'update role' at the bottom of the page. You can now either edit your existing users to assign them this role or invite any new users with this custom role.

2. Create a new role

Click on your name in the top right of the platform and press 'my account', then go into the 'roles' area located on the left sidebar.

Now you will see a list of roles, to create your own press 'add new role' and give a title to you new role. The next step is to chose what permissions you want to set for this role, you will see an access list, so simply click on what permissions you wish this role to have and press 'update role' when you are happy. You have now created a role which you can start assigning to users within your account. 

If you have selected any of the obligations, it will now prevent any user from creating screens, creating playlist or uploading content without a tag applied to the item.
