Once you have created a screen you can make various adjustments to this, such as renaming the screen or setting a scale or orientation. To make any amendments to the screen, in your project, find the screen you wish to edit and click on the name of the screen to access the editing menu.
When you are in this area, click into 'Settings' and you will see the area below:
In the area shown above you can amend any of the following settings for you screen:
Edit Screen Name and Location: If you wish to rename your screen, click into this area and type in your amended name and location and click 'Save' to finalise the changes. This will now be renamed in your project.
Edit Screen Scale: It is possible to force an app output at a set width & height. To do this, click 'Edit Screen Scale', enter in the dimensions (in pixels), then click 'Save'. This will require an app reboot on the hardware for the changes to take affect.
Edit Video Settings: Video content by default in the NowSignage app will not scale outside of it's aspect ratio. If you are looking for the video to stretch outside of it's ratio to the canvas of the screen or zone, use this feature. To do this, click 'Edit Video Settings', turn 'Stretch Videos' to 'On', then click 'Save;. This will require an app reboot on the hardware for the changes to take affect.
Adjust Screen Orientation: It is possible to force an orientation change through the NowSignage app. To do this click into 'Adjust Screen orientation', the from the dropdown, either select Portrait or Reverse Portrait and then click 'Save' to apply the changes. This will require an app reboot on the hardware for the changes to take affect.
Please Note: If the device has native orientation settings, please set these on the hardware rather than using the feature above. NowSignage will rotate automatically based on the hardware orientation, so if the hardware is set in portrait mode, the app will scale to portrait correctly. We advise that you only use these settings if the hardware cannot be rotated to portrait (e.g. such as Android TV or FireTV devices).
