To install NowSignage on Philips Q-Line SoC Displays, you will require the following;
- Remote control
- Connection to either a wired or wireless network
- USB external storage device containing the NowSignage APK
USB Method:
Step 1: Download our APK from: nowsignage.com/redir/mz-apk
Step 2: Drag the APK onto a USB Drive.
Step 3: Insert the USB Drive into the USB port of the Philips Display.
Step 4: On the Display, quickly press Home, 1, 8, 8, 8 to access the Admin Menu.
Step 5: Within the Admin Menu, click into 'Apps' then 'File Manager'.
Step 6: Select the option for the USB Drive, then scroll down and select the 'NowSignage.apk' file.
Step 7: Open the APK file and click 'install' then 'open', this will automatically launch the NowSignage App.
Step 8: Enter in your unique screen PIN (found within your NowSignage account dashboard) and active your screen.
Browser Method:
Step 1: On the Display, quickly press Home, 1, 8, 8, 8 to access the Admin Menu.
Step 2: Within the Admin Menu, click into 'Apps' then 'Chromium'.
Step 3: Enter the following URL into the browser: nowsignage.com/redir/mz-apk
Step 4: The APK will now download directly onto the display. Click 'install' then 'open', this will automatically launch the NowSignage App. (Note - this may require you to plug in a USB mouse to select the option to install/open the app)
Step 5: Once the App is open, enter in your unique screen PIN (found within your NowSignage account dashboard) and active your screen.
Configure Date & Time Settings:
Prior to launching up the app, please ensure that the Android timezone is configured correctly on the player:
- Within the admin mode click into to settings
- Go to Date and Time settings
- Check that the correct timezone is set
- Press the Home button on the remote
- Navigate to Advanced Configuration
- Select Date and Time
- Check that the correct timezone is set
Note - If the date/time settings are incorrect on the device you may see a PIN error message upon launching the NowSignage app.

How to change the orientation of the screen to portrait:
To set portrait mode for the screen:
- Click the Home key on the remote.
- Select Configuration 2 > Rotation in the menu.
- Set "OSD Rotation" to "Portrait" and Image Rotation > All to "On"
Note - The NowSignage App by default will automatically boot up and automatically enter your PIN number upon start up of the screen.
