Activating weather triggers app:

- Once logged into your NowSignage account begin by going to the 'Apps' area of the platform:

- When you have entered the apps area, scroll down to find the 'Weather Triggers' app, click into this and activate the app:

Once you are within the Weather Triggers App, please follow the steps below to fully configure your weather triggers:

1. Set up the Trigger Commands:

Trigger Commands define the possible weather events that can happen. They have a Name, which you can define, e.g. 'Under 0 Degrees' and a combination of weather conditions which you can set (temperature etc).

To create a command, click into 'Trigger Commands' then '+Add Trigger Command):

Now give your command a name, then select a temperature range from the list, then choose an additional weather condition (this is optional):

Once you are happy with your command, click 'Create' to save your changes. You can define as many trigger commands as you like, then these will be used to trigger content to screens, that drives us to Trigger Rules.

2 - Create a Trigger Group

Trigger Groups are the main scope for triggers, you can create as many groups as you like and within it, as many trigger rules you want.

To create a trigger group, click into the 'Triggers Groups' tab and then '+Add New Trigger Group':

Now give your trigger group a name and enter in your Geolocation data within the Latitude & Longitude fields (guidance on retrieving this data can be found here: https://nowsignage.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/44002318781).

Then select the screens you'd like to assign to this trigger group. Once you are happy with this, click 'create' to save your trigger group of screens. You can then edit this trigger group at any stage.

3. Set up the Trigger Rules:

Trigger Rules is the area where you configure a trigger command with a playlist to be played within your trigger group of screens.

To create a new trigger rule, simply click go into the trigger groups tab and then select 'Rules' on the trigger group you wish to apply trigger rules to:

This will give you a full overview of all the trigger rules which have been assigned to that trigger group. To create a new trigger rule, click 'Add new trigger rule':

When you create a new trigger rule, you are presented with all the possible commands defined earlier and all the playlists in your account. To create a rule, firstly select a trigger command (e.g. Below 0 Degrees) then select a playlist you'd like to trigger to the screen once that criteria has been met. Once you are happy with this click 'Create' to save your trigger rule.

You can also add in as many trigger rules as you like, so this can be set up for a variety of weather conditions:

Now that this has been fully configured, if any of your weather conditions are met, our CMS will receive an automated command and all the screens within the trigger group will play the content established by the rules you have set. Rules can be edited or deleted at any time.

Please note - Once the content has been triggered, this playlist will bet assigned to your screens indefinitely until another weather trigger command has been sent.
